Step Up for Soldiers will hold it’s sixth annual children’s fishing tournament on June 11, 2011 at Kure Beach pier. The tournament will begin at 7:00 and run until noon. Everything is free. Fishing equipment, bait, breakfast, lunch, snacks, prizes, gifts are all provided by Step Up and their sponsors. This tournament is open to children of active duty, reserves, and veterans of all five branches of the military.

Helping disabled veterans get up on their feet. Why not step up. Your support counts. There is a great need for modification / adaptations to the homes of these recovering soldiers.

17th Annual Youth Pier Fishing Tournament — June 4th, 2011
The Carolina Beach Parks & Recreation Dept. would like to invite all kids ages 5-15 to this year’s tournament.
* Tournament Registration- 6:00-8:00am
* Biggest Catch Awards/Raffle Prize Giveaway- 10:15am
* Entree Fee: $2.00 plus at least one canned good item donation per child.
* First 100 kids, without fishing poles, will receive a free rod and reel.
* First 150 kids will receive a free tournament T-shirt.
* Free bait provided while it lasts.
